How Licenses Work & What They Mean

1. Device License:

  • This license is required in order to populate information on the Device box.

  • The license is deducted from your account once the information start populating.

2. App License:

  • This license is required in order to download the PhoneCheck application on a device.

  • The license is deducted from your account, once the application has downloaded on the device.

3. ESN License:

  • This license is required in order check if a device has been blacklisted and also to gather finance information. (If ESN + is checked on the general settings for the station)

  • The license is deducted from your account once the ESN box populates a result.

4. Erasure License:

  • This license is required in order erase or restore a device using the function on PhoneCheck.

  • The license is deducted from your account, once you confirm that you want to erase or restore the device. (If you erase the device manually through the settings or restore the device through iTunes. This will not deduct a license from the station)

5. iCloud License:

  • This license is required in order check the iCloud status of a device. However this license is normally only used on the Cloud portal. It can also be used on the PhoneCheck program, however this would only apply under Manual Transactions.

  • The license is deducted from your account when the iCloud check runs.

6. Provision License:

  • This license is required in two occasions.

  • The first one is when you download the Provisioning License to the setup device. In order to download this app onto the device, you will need to have this license on your station and it will deduct one licenses from the station.

  • The second one is when you skip the setup procedure on an Android device, either using the NFC or QR method. In order to do this, you will need to have provisioning licenses on your master account and it will deduct one license once an android device successfully skips the manual set up.

7. SIM Lock License:

  • This license is required in order check if a device is locked to a specific carrier. This is done automatically if Auto Perform SIM Lock Check is enabled on the general customizations for the station.

  • The license is deducted from your account once a SIM Lock symbol populates on the top right hand corner of the device square.
