Locate the Hardware UUID

Locating the Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) on Microsoft Windows PC and Apple Mac computers.

Microsoft Windows 10

Step 1: Press the Windows key + R to open the Run Window.

Step 2: Type 'cmd' into the Run Window and click on OK.

Step 3: Type the following command into the command prompt or Copy and Paste. CMD Command: wmic path win32_computersystemproduct get uuid

Step 4: Press the Enter key on the keyboard to issue the CMD command and view

the UUID number.


Apple Mac

Step 1: Click the Apple logo in the menu bar (upper left corner), and then the "About This Mac" option.

Step 2: Next select the "System Report" button.

Find out which macOS your Mac is using - Apple Support

Step 3: Verify you are on the Hardware section to view the Hardware UUID.
