How to Install the Latest Phonecheck iOS App

The latest Phonecheck iOS app no longer requires trusting a certificate to open and test devices. (Quick Help)

Requirements for the Latest iOS App (1.0.33 & above)

  • Devices must be connected to the WiFi with Internet

  • Devices must be connected to the desktop via Lightning USB Cable

  • The user must wait for the top of the device box to turn Green before opening the app on the devices.

  • The App without trust requires communication with Apple's App Server to validate App authentication.

Apple ID Sign In or Black screen when launching the iOS App

If you’re seeing the “Sign In” window on the device or black screen check your Internet/WIFI on the device.

  1. Try opening the browser on the device and opening Phonecheck.com or ESPN.com

  2. Try to force close the Phonecheck App on the device and then open the App again.

  3. Your region may be having issues authenticating with the Apple Server, try changing your DNS to google 8.8.8.8 or 8.26.56.26

  4. Try connecting to a Mobile Hotspot or another network

  5. If none of the above resolve your issue attempt to erase and reset the device

TIP - How to Force Close the App on iOS

  1. On an iPhone X or later, or an iPad with iOS 12 or later, or iPadOS, from the Home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause slightly in the middle of the screen. On an iPhone 8 or earlier, double-click the Home button to show your most recently used apps

  2. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.

  3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.

If that doesn’t work then disconnect, remove the app, and reconnect the device to reinstall the app
