Updated over a week ago
  • If an Android device has an intermittent connection or will not be recognized but charges, there may be an issue with the Drivers.

  • The user will need to perform an Android Driver Update.

  • This can be done by updating the active connection's driver within the Device Manager interface.

How to update or reinstall Android device drivers:

Step 1: Open Device Manager

Step 2: Ensure your connected device is showing up under "Portable Devices"

Step 3: Right Click on the Device & Select UPDATE DRIVER

Step 4: Manually select the driver for the Update.

Step 5: Select LET ME PICK FROM A LIST OF AVAILABLE DRIVERS

Step 6: Select ADB INTERFACE & Click Next.

Step 7: Select the last MTP USB Device & Click Next.

Step 8: Confirm it has updated.

Step 9: Review your correctly recognized device.
