If an Android device has an intermittent connection or will not be recognized but charges, there may be an issue with the Drivers.
The user will need to perform an Android Driver Update.
This can be done by updating the active connection's driver within the Device Manager interface.
How to update or reinstall Android device drivers:
Step 1: Open Device Manager
Step 2: Ensure your connected device is showing up under "Portable Devices"
Step 3: Right Click on the Device & Select UPDATE DRIVER
Step 4: Manually select the driver for the Update.
Step 5: Select LET ME PICK FROM A LIST OF AVAILABLE DRIVERS
Step 6: Select ADB INTERFACE & Click Next.
Step 7: Select the last MTP USB Device & Click Next.
Step 8: Confirm it has updated.
Step 9: Review your correctly recognized device.
