iOS & Android test plan addition - Manual Tests

Do you want to introduce a specific test or question for your tester to verify during the test app?
The creation a Custom Test for your testers to manually verify a device's specific variable along with a binary answer is now available!

How to create a Custom Test:

1. Log into the Cloud


2. Locate the Custom Tests Management tab


3. Review fields and enter data accordingly:

TEST TITLE - Name of the Test
SELECT PLATFORM - iOS or Android (1 at a time)
MODEL NO "OPTIONAL" - For Specific device models, define them accordingly:
iOS - ID without market suffix (ll/a ,ca/a, ch/a, jp/a, etc) (Ex. M2341, N34A1, MZ991)
Android - Complete Model Number with dash (Ex. SM-N95F, SM-F20G, VOG-L29)
(This data can be found under "MODEL NUMBER" in Cloud DB Reports.)
Description of Test - Explains the steps that the tester must perform to verify the functionality of the required variable.


In this example we will be creating two custom tests that cover specific scenarios.

A) Scenario: Android devices that do not allow native access to test Fingerprint interface and you want to manually confirm the state of the biometric scanner setup.
Solution: The App will ask the tester to manually enter the Phone settings and set up a Fingerprint to verify it works, they can then reopen the app & answer the question.

B) Scenario: Your logistics receive devices that may have physical markings from dents to paint splatters, we want to be able to assess the devices and record these instances in app as a passed or failed test.
Solution: The test will ask the user to physically check on the phone and answer if its state is positive or not.

4. Enable Test Toggle


5. To Apply Changes:
a) Sign out & back into Phonecheck Desktop.
b) Delete apps from devices to reinstall updated app (or start a New Transaction.)
